How your pet biz can survive Trump’s tarriffs

Big news:

Last week, US President Trump announced his “Liberation Day” tarriffs that businesses must pay if they want to import stuff from abroad. The idea being that Trump wants businesses to manufacture stuff in the US instead, to create more jobs and boost the economy.

Will it work? Or is he about to plunge the world’s economy into another dark age?

I dunno. I’m not an economist, nor do I play one on TV. In fact, I can’t even spell “tarriff”.

But what I do know is that – at least for the short term – things are going to be rough for any US pet business that imports a lot of product from abroad… or any non-US pet business that exports a lot of product to the US.

More:

Even if your pet business isn’t directly affected by these tarriffs (like if you don’t import anything, or if you sell services rather than products), then you’re probably still gonna be affected. Because after all, many things are about to get more expensive for the US consumer – which means they’ll have way less dinero to spend on your stuff.

Anyway, that’s enough gloom and doom.

Because there is a “silver lining” to even the darkest cloud. A light at the end of the funnel.

You see, when people have less to spend, they naturally become more discerning with their wallets. They don’t want to risk wasting anything on stuff that might not work for them or their pet.

Why could that be a good thing for you?

Because if you have an established pet business, and your customers previously had a good experience with you… then you have a huge (and growing) advantage over your competitors in terms of getting those customers to return and spend more with you again and again.

There are ways to almost-effortlessly get your customers to come back to you – purely because they don’t want to risk trying someone else. You’re their “tried and true” option.

What’s more…

Despite everything going on, almost NO pet businesses are using this to its full potential. Even as the economy collapses around them, they’re still stuck in “2022 mode”, doubling down on social media, SEO, and ads. And flat-out ignoring the obvious answer (focusing on bringing back former customers) that’s staring them in the face.

Again, this is a good thing for you. If you’re smart.

Because as your competitors continue to try to get blood from a stone, you could be enjoying a constant stream of returning customers who buoy your business and keep your head above water as the economic “tariff storm” rages on.

Would you like to know HOW to get your customers returning to you again and again?

Without ads, social media posts, or writing blogs?

The answer, of course, is email.

Good old email. Long disparaged and forgotten, email is suddenly having a burst of popularity as business owners realise they’re no longer getting the same “juice” from other methods that they once were.

And if you’d like details on exactly how you can use email to help your pet biz survive what’s coming…
